Join Us for an Unforgettable Spring Celebration!
The flowers are blooming, the days are growing longer, and it’s time for our beloved annual tradition! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, May 27th as we gather for our Spring Lunch – a cherished celebration we’ve hosted for the past 8 years to welcome the longer days and sunshine.
It is also worth noting that this year we celebrate our “date of birth” on June 17th 1996 so a small acknowledgement of this milestone is in order and will happen at the lunch with an anniversary celebration to be held at a later date.
This year, we’re taking our celebration somewhere truly extraordinary: Quai Liberté on the Thalassa barge, moored right at the Statue of Liberty (on Île aux Cygnes) with views of the Eiffel Tower. Imagine enjoying a delicious meal on the water, surrounded by iconic Parisian landmarks, in the warm glow of spring. But this isn’t just about the spectacular setting – it’s about making a difference.
Created by Wake up Café in 2020, Quai Liberté is an inspiring social enterprise that employs and trains former inmates in hospitality skills, giving them a genuine pathway to professional success. Working alongside seasoned professionals through an integrated training program, participants gain both technical expertise and essential workplace knowledge, building the foundation for meaningful careers.
When we dine with Quai Liberté, we will not just be celebrating spring – we will be supporting transformation, second chances, and community. Let’s toast to longer days, new beginnings, and another year of making a positive impact together!
Our Spring set menu:
Aperitif – Glass of crémant Bourgogne blanc or soft drink, Chef’s savoury appetizers (to be enjoyed out on the deck)
Starter – Creamy stracciatella with lightly roasted cherry tomatoes, crunchy vegetables dressed in a citrus vinaigrette
Main Course – Pan seared sea bream accompanied by spring vegetable lasagna and a delicate green sauce
Dessert – Red berry crumble with a lime sorbet
Vegetarian menu:
Aperitif, Starter and Dessert – same as above
Main Course – Roasted courgettes, velvety red lentil hummus, creamy feta
Both menus will be complemented by wine, mineral water, tea and coffee.
Given the significant rise in restaurant prices, we’ve decided to utilize some of our funds to subsidize the Spring lunch. We are delighted to be able to offer this subsidy, reducing costs for our members, while ensuring they still enjoy a remarkable and unforgettable luncheon experience.
